Leoben was obviously still coming to terms with Three's disappearence but he tried to take comfort in the idea that she would have returned home. That it would only be a matter of time until she had a child. She was meant to be a mother more than she was anything else

Kara appeared in the door, clutching at her chest. "My boobs hurt. Why do they hurt already?" She threw her arms into the air. "There's not gonna be milk in them for months!"

"You should read it, too," Kara said. "You have to do all kinds of things, there's a whole chapter about dads. And you have to learn to breath with me, too."

"I will," Leoben promised, willing to play whatever part he could in bringing the child into the world properly. "What sort of breathing techniques do we need to practice?"

'Llamas, or something." Kara shrugged. "Chris told me, but I forgot. I bet it's in this book."

Leoben raised an eyebrow, looking skeptical and amused. "Llamas? That's an animal. Like a goat, isn't it?"

Kara shrugged again. "Maybe. The point is, it helps to breathe like them when contractions start. That's when my uterus contracts to get the baby out. That's what hurt Sharon so bad, remember?" she added, paling slightly.

Leoben frowned, kissing her temple and nuzzling her cheek. "Hey, it'll be fine. We'll learn Llamas. I'll frakking learn Camel if I have to."

"They don't have any drugs here," Kara said. "That's gonna suck. I don't want it to be like Sharon's."

"Maybe it won't be. Maybe hers was more complicated," Leoben said thoughtfully. He'd have to ask some of the doctors about it. And he would have to read some books.

"I guess there's a long time until then." Kara rested her chin on Leoben's head, giving him a faceful of the boobs she'd made such a big deal of earlier. "The book says in another month, you'll be able to tell when you look at me."

Despite this, Leoben still wasn't sure what her problem with her breasts was. He sighed quietly and snorted. "That'll be fine." By then he would probably have figured out a good way to tell Six about it.

"I wonder if I'll get fat," Kara continued. "I've never been fat before."

"Not fat," Leoben argued. "Just pregnant and big. And there's probably exercises you can do." The Cylon was glad she couldn't really see him smirking as he added: "Baby push-ups."

"If I get big enough, my belly will hit the floor even before I push up." Her expression turned thoughtful. "If I keep doing pull-ups, I won't even have to hang weights from my legs, I'll just keep adding it myself."

"Maybe you'll do finger exercises or you might have to deal with being heavier for awhile," Leoben said with a shrug. "There's books to read. We can watch movies in the rec room."

"After we move?" Kara wasn't terribly interested in thirty minute treks each time she wanted to watch a movie. "It's gonna be so weird not to live here anymore."
