Ow my head.

I do kinda get what you're getting at, though. Words can be so limiting. I try not to get frustrated about it too much, though, and instead see it as a challenge to find the right word or phrase to describe something that isn't concrete. For me, this often involves the use of the suffix "ish." Like, "that thing I saw in my vision was blue-ish and roundish."

Not to be too crass... For me, your example seems like a nebulous sound bite.

I feel we spend so much time being so focused, we are focusing so tight, what we are trying to highlight disappears. Or we get nebulous. In either case, we don't use enough words. But we want the details. In a sound bite. But we don't have the words.

Just me and my opinion

I know how to reduce the number of words...

BLUE!

No, no it's not. It's...

BLUE!

Get it right.

LOL (literally)

Dunno about you, but I've kept that story alive -- not only in retelling about your/my experiences but actively practicing the art of shouting "BLUE" at people mid-discussion.

I've done the same, including yelling blue in the middle of the debates.

Still a profound effect, after all these years. *smile*
