I was scrolling through my twitter feed and I see a tweet from this girl I'm following replying to someone else's tweet about how people on facebook were stupid. She replied saying, "niggas on facebook can't spell these days." or something to that extend. And that pissed me off because for one she was white, and two when I asked her why she thought

I agree with all of your points. It is completely ignorant, yet people think it is okay to throw it around like it means nothing. The thing is it's terrible that it's extended off of a completely degrading word and yet people don't even bat an eyelash with the "unoffensive" "slang" term. I think it was completely uncalled for of her to use that word in that context. The only thing that can be done is ignore it because I don't think it'll die out anytime soon, unfortunately.

Me too, that's why I said something. Usually I have people on my timeline refer to others as "niggas" such as, "this nigga" or "that's my nigga!" and I want to say something but I didn't want to get into it, but the way this girl used it was way too casual.

And, sigh, I guess. I just hate that word and how people use it. It's disgusting.
