If I was going to order a Bbell Hhooks book from Amazon today, with which title would you suggest I should start?

I guess for starters either Wounds of Passion (memoir) or Feminism is for Everybody (basic intro work)? But you are not new to feminism, only to bell hooks, so I would suggest the memoir. I am interested to see what other people suggest, though.

I tend to like memoirs anyway, so that's a good suggestion.

I was going to say Wounds of Passion if you're feeling memior-y or Killing Rage for her race stuff. Which I fucking LOVE.

There's also a lot to be said for her work on love, which is the stuff she's been doing the most lately, including All About Love

The Will to Change: Men, Masculinity, and Love.

It was my introductory book to Bell Hooks.

Ooh, I really like Feminist Theory: From Margin To Center (started me off on her and articulated really well a lot of what had been bothering me about mainstream feminism) or Ain't I Woman?

Good! Which one are you going to read first?

I think I'm going for her memoir first, and then will try "Feminist Theory: From Margin to Center."
