The Season Finally Turned . . .

. . . and it is UUUUGGLLLYYYYYY!  Today is the second day in a row with a "heat index" of more than 100 degrees F. Yesterday I had managed to cool the house with pulling in the 60's temperatures of the night before, closed down windows and curtains before too much heat entered after the sun rose, and kept the air moving with fans. My goodness! I think you're hotter than we are! I love your description of the cooling of the house. And yes, I'd have the AC in the bedroom, too.

Last night a storm came through and blasted the high humidity OUTAHERE! The storm scouts were shoving tree branches and dirt around as we walked up to the long line at the theater. We looked around at the other approaching people and the darkening clouds. We decided the theater was going to be too crowded and our Cody-dog, who hates thunder and firecrackers, shouldn't be left alone to endure what was coming. So we'll have to see the movie another night.

BUT: it was 60 degrees at 5:15 this morning, and I've got the house filling with fresher air and down to about 73 degrees. I think we'll survive the weekend. Happy 4th to you, too.

Probably a good call of missing the movie and going home to comfort Cody. I always feel poor for dogs (or other pets) that are terrified of the thunder.

Glad the rain washed away the humidity and cooled you off a bit!
