My early morning vigil was delightfully rewarded by a star-bearing sky. Venus brought some of her old court of shining morning bright lights to say "Good Morning"! Of course, I still live in the middle of a large, artificially lit city that still can wash out many of the wonderful star family that my childhood North Dakota farm sky so marvelously

I had planned to head out one night Perseid-spotting over the weekend. But it rained. A lot. As it usually does in England whenever there is a meteor shower or an eclipse...

Yeah. I hear that! I was craning my neck to try to see a lost and late stream of Perseid Light over the last couple of days. No luck with that one. So the rest was that much better. Take care and enjoy your lovely island.
