A Short One Because I Do Miss You All, But Just Haven't Been Able to Sit Here Writing

Last night's moonrise was gorgeous! Although Grandmother Moon was a day or so past Full, she was still looking quite large--if a bit oval. And she glowed a very pretty pale orange that made me think of tangerines. I stood at the bedroom window on the second floor to get a good view, since the houses and trees across the alley blocked my view of all ( Read more... )

Yeah. I was wondering how hard you got hit with that snow.

I've heard that the weekend is supposed to be fairly nice.........

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the weekend.

MyJeff and I are going to Theater in the Round Saturday night. One of his Christmas presents was going to see "Dog Logic".

Good luck with the annual review. I always thought they were pointless, both as an employee and as a manager having to take the time to write them. I strived to be the kind of manager who was straightforward and proactive. I gave my employees feedback throughout, offering opportunities to grow in the job ... and at times, correct, their performance. During my time as a leasing manager, I had to fire two employees and it made me physically ill; but, both deserved it, having been dishonest and/or toxic.

I suppose we're due for a bit of frigid cold. Overall, it's been a surprisingly mild winter. I've volunteered to take a friend to the airport for his trip to Puerto Vallarta. It's an early morning flight, so I'll be picking him up at 3:30am. I assume the temps will be bitter ...

I hope Jeff is over his cold and that you are in good health. I watched both nights of the Westminster Dog Show, paid careful attention to your favored breed and rooted mightily for the Gold Retriever.

I wouldn't much like having to fire people either. Although the dishonest/toxic ones wouldn't bother me as much as others.

Just be sure to dress VERY warmly before leaving your apartment at O'Dark in the morning. In layers, even if you will be in your car most of the time. Then ...... trip your friend so he falls into a big snowbank, just so he can REALLY appreciate his south-bound trip. I'm sure he'll appreciate the effort.

MyJeff's cold is easing, but hanging on still. I'm not suffering an active cold myself (putting this carefully so as to NOT challenge Fate). But I seem to be more tired more often, and often have a low-rez headache. Probably fighting off worse things.

I wasn't able to see any of the Westminster, but did read that a Standard Poodle took top honors. Our sweet Keeshonden rarely get a fair shake. We do love Golden Retrievers, too. They are just about the most friendly dogs out there.
