What an interesting way of working around Richard/Kahlan! Definitely very cool.

BUT. WHAT HAPPENED IN THE END. AH.

I decided to read the rest here rather than wait for you to post the others at your journal :) Really enjoyable, with everything laid out so believably from Kahlan's dismissal of Richard (to protect him) and Nicci's burgeoning feelings for him. Cara's there, long-suffering, picking up the pieces (and most likely rolling her eyes when no-one's looking). And Rahl wants search parties but he's probably resigned to the fact that no good will really come of it.
I loved Kahlan's listing of Rahl's good points that included common sense!
And the end; Richard's "nooooooooooooo" that, depending on your mood can be read as tragic or crying out of parody - just like LotS so often is - was fantastic. I imagined the camera shot, seen from above so we can see his look of anguish :)
Also yay, more quotes! I probably haven't even spotted them all :) Maybe on another read through. And "The Seeker's Bride" seems like a good title for a fic all by itself.
I never thought a Nicci/Richard fic could be so convincing!

"The Seeker's Bride" OMC (Oh my Creator)! I don't know how, exactly, but this needs to happen. Especially if it's not Kahlan ("Inconceivable!").

I never thought a Nicci/Richard fic could be so convincing! Thank you! I take it Nicci/Richard isn't a pairing you normally like, and I'm flattered you think this is convincing (I asked myself, how could Nicci/Richard happen, at least somewhat canonically? And this is the result).
