I really do love your writing; you manage to convey the childish beauty in eating strawberries, but then there is clearly something else hidden beneath; with the other person not noticing much of anything. Gorgeous, really.

That last line was so unexpected! The first part was so whimsical and pretty and lovely and the imagery was amazing.

And the last line was a cut to the heart :( Wonderful tho.
