As a blue eyed lady who has dated several brown eyed gents, I can say that in my personal experience this claim is perfectly accurate. :)

As a brown eyed gent who, when tested alongside a blue eyed lady, frequently finds himself less able than her to answer basic questions such as "What is your name?" "What day is it today?" and "for God's sake, how much longer do we have to wait for you to stop staring into that person's eyes and get your mind back on the job?", I concur. =:o>

The only non-obvious thing I have to say (well, I bet this is obvious too) is that Stephens Fry and Hawking are not improved facially by proximity to each other. They sort of look as though someone just ran past with a baseball bat and got the pair of them in one swing.

Anyway, nurture vs. nature, anyone?
