Sudanese under attack in Australia

Nov 01, 2007 22:21

Australia's Immigration Minister, Kevin Andrews, recently made a baseless attack on Sudanese refugees here, claiming they have trouble integrating into Australian society and are responsible for gang violence. These claims are false, but with an election coming up, the government's obviously returning to a successful past tactic for scaring up votes: bashing refugees.

I've made a posting about this over at debunkingwhite; here, I'm going to post a collection of links about the issue. I'll add more as I find them.
