I need sleep for adequate dream time. Thien's seen me at my worst, a 6 month dream drought last winter & spring, where I wandered listlessly, lethargically, etc. It was in part due to volitional sleep deprivation, as i decided photo geeking on flickr was more important than a decent bedtime.

my friends laugh cuz i've put up styrofoam to block out the light and a large large mattress and bookcase to block the light, so it looks like a bomb shelter, but it's helped...except then i don't get the natural light during the day time...this is one of the reasons i've decided to move. cuz i also need natural light during the daytime.
...i also totally agree with you about the cubicle work. trying to figure out an alternative, but it's hard. especially with the cost of living here. i feel like i'd have to disengage pretty seriously from the system and live on an organic farm to be able to survive without working crazy hours just to pay the rent.
