Nuuu. I think I made a few unintentional references, but the one I was talking about was my favorite teacher in high school. He was J Andrew (went by Andy). We always tried to guess his first name, but he always said his first name was JFlarpenturtle with a silent J.

I don't know about references, but I think even attempting NaNo is a feat in itself. It's something you're doing for yourself, so I think enjoying yourself and challenging yourself is more important than reaching some arbitrarily assigned goal.
