We are quickly approaching the two month mark of the installation of the new floors in my living room. Ya know, the job that was going to be completed by the time I got back from vacation on June 15th?

Today they began clearing out the mislaid crap in order to begin the third attempt to lay the last part of this floor properly

When I was 19 or 20, my parents bought a lake cottage, the one they now live in full time, after selling the old house.

It was pretty shitty, but we had lots of sweat equity to invest. We replaced the floor, me, my dad, and my brother, never having done anything like that.

It never looked as bad as that.

And we did it in one take.

Fuck, it's not rocket science.

Holy freaking crap! O.o I can't believe they screwed it up that bad, not to mention that they don't appear to be cleaning up as they go along, as any decent contractor would.

Yes, a warning would be nice. Although maybe we should hold off until the work is finished in case they're better at googling then they are at laying floors.
