Weevil opened the door to the room and let out a sigh of relief. "She's not around, good," he said.

And then he put a sock on the outside doorknob. "You comin' in?"

"Sock. Classy." But Ivanova slipped in after him, unable to help herself from a quick look around.

Weevil closed the door behind her. His side of the room was very obviously spartan.

"Hey, I go with the classics," he said, trying to lead her towards the bed.

Like Ivanova was going to protest. She sat down on the edge of the mattress, curling into herself.

Weevil sat next to her, leaning in to kiss her temple. "So... you gonna keep all that bottled in, still?"
