February - Black and White.

I'm behind in life, with a shoddy internet connection. Just moved, started a new job, and so on!

Anyway, I have my February self portraits to share.....as you can probably guess, my theme for February was Black and White photography. ...Focusing on contrast and texture.

Totally awesome as usual. Random question tho, for shooting selfs do you use a remote or timer? or both? I never see you concealing a remote tho... anyway

I used to have a cheap remote, but it was cheap and died. Xelia figured out how to get her camera on 2 second timer, so she could use the remote and use 2 seconds to hide the remote, but not really wait. But these days it's all arms length or timer. Mainly timer.

So a lot of ridiculous run, pose, try to emote, run, check, adjust, run, pose, try to emote again.

LoL yeah I used to do that while doing self portraits, tho for Xmas my girl friend got me a remote. I like the idea of the remote plus timer to hide the timer.
Another trick I would use to help setup the shots was to send from the video out to a TV behind the camera so I could see where I was in the frame...

haha I used to have a backdrop. Now I just keep my walls white. Feels a little less like home, but easier for photos!!
