Well I found a car I really want, and what has me more enticed than anything to buy it is they guy is willing to sign over the title if I drop $500 on it and he will even tow it to my house. He simply does not need the car anymore and in fact has a truck. So, some ups and downs ( Read more... )

have a mechanic look at it first. If the numbers add up to your BUDGET, and you have the time to have the thing worked on, I'd say go for it.

I'd also want to know what all has been done besides routine maintenance, so you know what to expect to last and what is still original (fuel pump, radiator, etc).

IF it is the car you were looking for, then go for it. Otherwise, there are still some great deals on used cars out there.
