I want to go to your housewarming party!

Did you ever hear anything back from the place you contacted about the doggy you liked?

Aw, it would be nice if you could come to my housewarming party. You've seen everyplace else I've lived so far! I've gotten to the most important part of unpacking -- I'm finally putting books on shelves! I've got two bookshelves in my office, one in my bedroom, and one BIG one and two little ones in the living room. Deciding which books should go in which rooms is stressful! I'm starting to think it will force me into a new reading "system" -- one book on the go from/in each room at a time ( ... )

I would love to come visit you sometime next year, if possible (and if you'll have me). :) I love book unpacking! If I were you, I'd put writing-related and reference books in the office, special and favorite books in your room, and books you want to show off in your living room. :)

That is awesome for Sumi (and yes, a bummer for you). But the right doggy for you is out there somewhere. :)

I stayed up late last night because I was DETERMINED to have the book unpacking done before I went to bed. I do have the writing/reference books in my office, but I had one more shelf in there to fill (b/c it wouldn't fit in the living room). So I decided to put my non-fiction books that weren't memoirs on it, since they're sort of "studious." :)

In my bedroom I have good "bedtime story" books as well as deeply personal books, like my queer literature that I don't necessarily want everyone who stops by to see. In the living room are billions of fiction books. :)
