This is not the greatest thing I've ever written, but it is the first thing I've written anything in such a long time. I intended to write a normal 100 word drabble, but it grew a little.

Very good to see your muse is coming back to life at last. You give me hope that there might be a way out of the Slough of Despond which is keeping mine at a distance.

I'm sorry to dash your hopes but my muse is very definitely not coming back to life. These 300 words took over a week to write and I wrestled with every single sentence.

I'm afraid my heart has been hammered by people I respected and it has somewhat tainted my love for writing, and for U.N.C.L.E.
I truly hope your muse returns soon.

I'm very sorry to hear that. Have you been unfairly criticised or trolled or something?
My muse is just asleep because of my general low feelings about everything that's going on, but distress caused deliberately is not the same at all. So can I help in any way? Happy to listen if you want to offload.
