What a delightful story! I felt a little connection to it too as, way back in 1969, I went on a school trip to Coventry (for the cathedral) and Stratford Upon Avon (Shakespeare's birthplace). We were allowed to walk around the house - the wooden floors were all wonky and uneven - and there was a little wooden crib which was said to be the one that he slept in as a baby. The whole class then had to line up and we all signed a big visitor's book with a feather quill. Happy days! :-)
