In the late 80's my library did a video for the first Staff In Service Day. Each branch or department was supposed to introduce all their staff with an imaginative skit, including background music or singing. Admin was expecting something about how people loved their jobs.
They got an imaginative range of violence against patrons, including killing ones who were especially annoying, songs about how library pay is terrible, and some serious dislike of the new computer system. No one knew the Director's secretary was a fantastic Saturday Night Live style comedienne, especially the Director who was the focus of her jokes.
For some reason they never had us do something like that again even though staff had a ball making and watching it.
That’s awesome. And a great play on the prompt. What kind of stuff might Lisa Rogers write? Or how might Section III roast Section II agents? So many possibilities. :D
Thanks! I watched the documentary last night and was inspired. Weird that The Off-Broadway Affair is one of my least favorite episodes. I’ll schedule a few reminders. :)
