In Taiwan they speak Cantonese (general public) and Mandarin. They also don't hang up the phone even after it rings 25 times. Especially If they believe their daughter who has moved to Toronto to study English for the summer has been kidnapped to be sold for her organs on the black market. This may well prompt her roomate to learn phonetically the cantonese expression "Irene will be back monday" (in the long term) and disconnect the phone (in the short term).
Flying tires the shit out of me if I have a window, because I'm glued to it and psychologically absorb all of the kilometers I'm flying over. If it's just water, however, I attribute fatigue to dehydration.
The older I get the less I want sweet things and the more I want spicey things. I just biked around toronto for 3 hours (only 2 of which were strictly intentional) and thought I must want iced cream. I ate some and wished I hadn't. It's all about the curry.
