This story first appeared on the internet about fourteen years ago as Bolo fanfic. Much like E.L. James, Kratman decided that what was missing from those stories was creepy nonconsensual BDSM. Yes, this story is basically 50 Shades of Grey

And he stole that from Heinlein's The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress--after they bomb Earth, Mike (the AI) tells Mannie that "it's a word I never had a referent for...orgasm" (from memory, but I think close enough). Since Heinlein wasn't writing BDSM porn, the AI then assures its worried friend that it doesn't need more bombings, it can replay the tape whenever it wants.
