My favorite show is Top Chef on Bravo (Wednesdays). It's a chef elimination competition, the perfect combination of food and (sometimes) interpersonal drama. I also like Iron Chef America on the Food Network, cause it's just fun to see what really good chefs will do with the secret ingredient. Other fun Food Network shows include Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (for general food voyeurism) and Good Eats (for food how-to with a bit of the science of food behind it). I just catch these occasionally in rerun.

I guess my favorite regular network show is House, on Fox (Mondays). It's a medical drama with good characters and plots. I can't always stay up to watch it anymore, though (or any of the abovementioned shows either). I'm two and a half episodes behind on Top Chef, and hope to catch them in reruns.

If you want to hate on humanity, watch My Super Sweet Sixteen on MTV, which documents the incredibly lavish parties thrown for rich kids by their overindulgent parents. It's really kind of unbelievable. But it has no redeeming qualities
