The snow is melting again -- think spring is finally coming this time? *crosses fingers*
Still not fully caught up with my flist, but I've found several rec-worthy fics/art from hp_springsmut and elsewhere. Enjoy -- and please leave feedback for the authors if you do!

My Comments:
I'll start with the disclaimers that I know who wrote this and that I probably wouldn't have clicked on a fic with this threesome if it was written by someone I wasn't familiar with. But I would have been totally missing out, because this fic is amazing. First off, the porn is excellent -- the fic starts off with a wanking scene that somehow manages to be both innocent and sexy, and things only get hotter once all three participants are involved. But what makes this fic memorable for me beyond the hotness factor are the details. Just take a minute to appreciate the descriptions of Ginny's and the twins' respective bedrooms; it's just plain good writing. Unless you have incest issues, I encourage you to give this one a try, even if het isn't normally your thing. :-)

Pairing: Remus/Sirius
Rating: G

Summary: Sirius commemorates Remus' birthday. So does Remus.
My Comments:
If I ever find myself drifting away from Remus/Sirius, a good fic will always bring me back, and this is just such a one. It's a wee little thing, only about 500 words, but it brings that bittersweet lump to my throat that I only get from this pairing. Sirius is in the afterlife with James and Lily, and Remus is back on earth, but this isn't a maudlin or depressing fic -- just quiet and wistful and filled with an underlying sense of hope. Remus and Sirius are exquisitely in character.

Pairing: Remus/Hermione
Rating: NC-17 just to be safe
Warnings: Obviously a large age difference, though she is 18.
Summary: In the fight for the last of Voldemort's Horcruxes, Hermione finds herself out of time.
My Comments:
This isn't a pairing I'd normally read (Remus? straight? *scoffs*), but I saw this recced a few places and was drawn in by the intriguing plot. This is a rather complex time travel tale, and the author skillfully weaves together the various elements without leaving any loose ends hanging or forcing anyone out of character. Both Remus and Hermione are believable and likeable, and I found myself rooting for them against the odds (and against my OTP *g*). Very impressive.
