So I haven't really been trying to potty train max, just kind of let him know it's there, let him play with it so far. Now he knows to take his diaper off and sit down on the potty chair but he just sits for a while then gets up and does something else ( Read more... )

Yay!! He's getting ready!! Keep it up and he will be there soon. Jorden has gone in it a couple of times, but doesn't say it, we just sit with him for a while, and sometimes leave him with a diaper off all day and just keep bringing him to it. That works alot, just be prepared if you forget and have to clean up, lol.

Yay for Max!

I was watching that "John and Kate + 8" show last night and their kids were 3 and still in diapers and it amazed me, but that's just because I, like the rest of my grandma's grandkids/some great-grandkids, was potty trained at age two rather quickly. Apparently my grandma has some magical potty-training talent and can potty-train kids in 2 weeks or less.

well send her to my house for a while

and i watched that show too. When I was watching the show I mentioned how hard it must be to try potty training 6 kids all at once. It's not uncommon for kids to be 3 and still in diapers though! =]

I'd like to know her trick on boys, my daughter was potty trained 2 months before she turned 2. But my son will be 2 in April, and he just doesn't seem to be moving as quickly as she did.

P.S., Jack, yeah, it's not uncommon for kids to be in diapers at 3, but GOOD Lord, I would not want to be changing a 3 year olds diaper, ugh, the stuff that comes out of Jaylynn, yeah right!! Lol!

Potty training is going to be my death. Kayleigh is ready. I know she is, but she just does not feel like doing it. She'll sit on the potty when we ask her two, but she's only actually peed on it twice. We've been taking the relaxed "she'll do it when she's ready approach", but since she'll be 2.5 next month, I think we're going to start getting a little more aggressive.
