Doctor Who: Army of Ghosts

I must admit, my interest in the new series has waned over the past several weeks; it just didn't excite me anymore. The Impossible Satan Pit was a good story overall but, for some reason, just didn't grab me in the same way that the episodes earlier on had done so. Fully agree with your review of the episode - especially the comedy and the Doctorishness of Tennant.

That said, I still think Love & Monsters is ok with some brilliant moments (and a dodgy ending) and Fear Her was a fine potboiler even if they were less than stellar.

Agree totally. I loved it, my interest was waning too, luckily I haven't agreed to work Saturday yet, and there is no chance of that now, though I didn't dislike Fear Her thought it was average Doctor Who fare and I maintain that Love & Monsters is the worst Doctor Who ever, if not the worst TV ever.

Generally, I agree with you 100%, though you get points knocked off for not praising Tracy Ann Overlord ;)

I'd also be very surprised if Rose actually dies - the production team have been so heavy-handed about it for the last few episodes, it'd actually be really anti-climactic. Plus, it'd mean she's been narrating the episode FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE!!!!

My favorite thing about the episode was that it strongly reinforced my own personal bit of retroactive fanwank: that Torchwood was fighting a secret turf war with UNIT through the Pertwee era, and that we actually saw a Torchwood operative doing his thing in The Claws of Axos.
