I admit that's pretty spooky on its own, what happened with his brother, even without the oldest dream, and it's hard to come up with rationalizations that make it seem safe to stick around after something like that. It's true that Valentine's Day is probably a bad day for stalker exes, that his behavior hasn't seemed encouraging recently, and that having been this surprised once makes it harder not to expect the unexpected again.

That said, the most recent dream also works on its own as a kind of combination of a summary of what he's already put you through - including some of the aftermath with others lending you support about it - and of what you'd naturally be afraid might happen. Beyond the extent to which it's always a good idea to be prepared for anything at any time, let's still not count our prophecies before they're hatched.

Yeah exactly. That was the bullshit and drama tipping point for me. Whether or not it was true, or if he was telling me the whole story. That was it for me.

He may have made it up or exaggerated to try to get me to worry, and "fall in love" with him.

But he did hang around and know plenty of assholes.

Sadly I liked his brother. I had more fun hanging out with him and his best friend.

But yeah... my guard is up. I am not totally paranoid or freaked out, but I am more vigilant than usual.

That's true too. It might be about the worst being over, and the rainbow phase beginning.

"let's still not count our prophecies before they're hatched."

I like that. ;^)

That's the thing. If it's true, it means you're in danger for your life, but if it's not, it's pathetic enough he'd have made it up to be a deterrent on its own. Shame about his brother and friend, though.

I hope that today has been going well for you so far.

Exactly. You hit the nail right on the head.

Yeah it is a shame about his brother and his friend. Sometimes it sucks to lose those extended friends, but in this case it is for the best. With Robert, it has to be a clean cut.

So far I have not heard a thing from him. Not even on Valentine's day. Here's to hoping he moved on.

Valentine's was okay. I mostly just relaxed and hung out online. ;^)
