It is not that I begrudge Anubis his fame. Really, I do not. And yes, yes, it is a good thought, to have him lead the King's tomb goods.

But why do I not get a grand processional and a statue in Trafalgar Square?

...Wow, um, I don't know why no one has thought of giving you a statue or a ceremony like that. It's most certainly not fair, to say the least.

Shall I burn you some extra incense tonight, Djehuty? Or rather, maybe I should get a small statue of an ibis and put it in my office for others to see?

Regardless, I hope things are going well for you.

Oh, huu, now I am embarrassed by my pettiness. Certainly I love incense, and statues of ibises, but I am all right. Anubis deserves his glory.

Yes, all is more or less well. I foolishly introduced fruit flies into the Moon as a nod to verisimilitude, and have spent the week regretting it.

I understand that Anubis deserves and earns recognition, but you also should be honored in some way, Djehuty. All gods are worthy of receiving such praise and honoring. It might not seem like much, but if I can do anything for you, I will.

Oh my...that sounds like it might have been rather troublesome having so many fruit flies in one place. But, I hope the situation has cleared itself up for the better now.

If you want a statue in Trafalgar Square, you shall have one. Time enough those bloody lions got replaced with something beautiful.

Agreed. And tasteful. Not gaudy.

And one in Philadelphia, as well. Something to get rid of that stupid Sylvester Stallone statue.

Oh, love. I can do without.

...and I am very, very sorry about writing up those Drosophila.

You have many statues. But I think the Square would be improved by one more.

I also think that verisimilitude, while of course to be celebrated, has its limits. Can you unwrite them, or shall I just continue laying about myself with a rolled-up copy of the Financial Times?

I will make a carving of you? Only it won't be as big because I only have a knife and what wood I can find on the estate.
