Yeah, what she said!!

I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head. What a waste of 45 minutes of my life that was. They bored the hell out of us with that Lisa and Ben thing and still didn't manage to resolve anything there or leave it with a feeling of closure. And I love the bs happyfamily!montage. Only sarcastically. I think they should have a montage of Dean elbowing Lisa in the face during a night terror or collapsing at the dinner table after downing a bottle of whiskey. You know, since he admitted that he drank too much and had terrible nightmare.

Hopefully they can redeem themselves with next week's so-ridiculous-it-has-to-be-hysterical meta episode.

Seriously. Lisa and Ben go on about having Dean there like they were living some sort of Utopian paradise while he was around.

After seeing the preview for next week's episode, I'm starting to think of season 6 as a douchebag boyfriend who manages to be so awesome from time to time that you can't bring yourself to get rid of him.
It's one of those I'm trying to be mad at you, but this is just too fucking amazing and epic and now I'm mad at you for making it impossible for me to be mad at you sort of situations.

I agree with everything you said. Ben is an idiot if he think that him and Lisa take precendence over Sam. Dean's brother, who Dean sold his soul for, has died for, was Death for and would do it all again. I was like 'jeeeesh, get over yourself, kid!'

And the ghost resolution was crap and confusing. Who killed whom? Did she kill herself, or did the ghost kill her after realising that possessing Dean's car was a step too far?

But I did like the haunted kidney.

The link I watched the ep on didn't have next week's promo, so no comment on that!

The Ben and Lisa arc needs to fade away.
We've already seen what happens when a hunter has a family and pretends like the supernatural doesn't exist/stops trying to protect them (see: Mary Campbell-Winchester) and when a hunter has a family and doesn't give them the knowledge or skills to defend themselves (see: John Winchester, Adam, and Adam's mom).
It's been established up one side and down the other that it isn't a good idea, and that, ultimately, not being with Lisa and Ben is the right thing.

Let's stop rubbing poor Dean's nose in it and move on.

You really should take a look at the promo for next week.
I'm a little ashamed by how much it excites me.
