All things considered...of course it was stupid, really. Stupid was inevitable. The Straw Hat pirates were practically the definition of the word, together or apart. It was what they did. It was how they rolledThe problem was, when they were apart the stupid wasn't as much fun anymore ( ... )

Indeed, one of the strangers may have caught Brook's attention, because indeed he was the most familiar of them all, and by far the strangest of them all. Though Franky really had is eyes more attuned to people making a fuss about dead people or guys who made really dumb jokes, he finally managed to catch sight of a distinctive bush of hair by a bench.

The cyborg let out a breath of relief; the old man hadn't done anything too stupid yet, it looked like. At this stage, that was really all he could hope for.

"Hey! Skeleton!" He finally neared the seated dead man, arms crossed. "Can't believe you managed to go this long without a chaperone."

There were several responses that all wanted very much to rush out of him at once just then, and not one was especially willing to wait its turn so as to permit everyone to exit the skeleton in a coherent single-file manner. This resulted in something of a pile-up; Brook leapt to his feet, overjoyed, unwittingly cane-thwacked a poor unsuspecting tree right in the foliage, and gave a tremendously delighted cry of "I can't believe it either!"

...close enough.

You know, for all the things Brook could have said, this one really did seem like the most appropriate to pick, Franky thought. He pushed up his glasses, expression impassive, as if in direct contrast to the skeleton's overblown glee.

"Well, I guess you got that taken care of now, so we're safe for a little bit." He gave a harsh sigh, arms crossed. "Jeez, Bones. How long have you even been here? Can't believe it took me this long to figure out you were here."
