Truthfully, it was an escape from her problems. Jennifer had taken the time to come see Megamind because she was trying to get away from the crushing sadness and the troubled thoughts that were bothering her currently. She waited patiently for the police to make sure she was not hiding anything, her bag have been taken, as well as her M1911, and led to a door where they said she would be able to go in as soon as the door buzzed.

When it made that metallic, frenzied noise, she stepped inside to find Megamind already waiting for her. She managed a smile as she sat down in one of the chairs.

"Hello. How are they treating you here, seeing as they're half here themselves?" She asked.

Megamind blinked. Okay, of all the people who might have been coming to pay him a visit this was the one he had suspected the least. Jennifer was nice, almost bizarrely so, but he had still assumed that the person he had actually kidnapped would want to stay as far away from him as possible. Oh well, life and it's curveballs... may as well get to it.

"Miss Walters," he grinned as he sat back in his chair, somehow managing to make the jumpsuit and handcuffs as villainous as a cape and a good set of spikes, "come to gloat over my incarceration? Well, I assure you: it won't last for long."

"Actually I just came to say hi." She said, looking a little lost over his grin and his attitude.

"I'm sorry you got thrown in here. I guess it was the best option at the time. Dean and John are kind of protective." Jennifer explained softly. "I brought you some books though, they said they'd put them in your cell."

"Oh." He said, some of that evil grin fading into something a little more uncertain, which only became more apparent when she actually apologized for him being tossed in jail and even more when she said she'd brought him something.

He glanced toward the clock on the wall, jail wouldn't be an issue for much longer if everything went according to schedule and he had no reason to suspect it wouldn't. Despite Cohort's... deficiencies, he really was quite prompt.

"Um, that was... thoughtful." He continued, pausing a moment before managing the next words and speaking them with all the unfamiliarity they warranted. "Thank you."
