Before she was even halfway down to the lobby, Alice knew he was there - he was such a part of her now that she didn't even try to think about how she knew. But the moment he entered into the Hard Rock, she felt him and suddenly it was like she was home again.

When the doors chimed open, she darted out from the doors with that breathtaking grace, eyes already skimming the room for that telltale blond hair and that reserved demeanor.

She spotted him.

She didn't run to him, she didn't scream his name. But a look of such relief washed over her face as she approached, it wasn't difficult to tell the emotions that ran deep through her.

It took far too long for him to pick up on her from across the room. He felt muffled and drowned, unable to feel and sense even half as much as he was used to.

If he had been able to stop looking at her his eyes would have closed with the relief he felt rolling from her. As it was he stepped forward meeting her half way. Like himself, her skin had more color than he was used to. It was different, but changed nothing in the way that he looked at her.

His hand touched the back of hers with a feather like brush and he inhaled with his own relief at finally being able to tell almost as well as normal what she was feeling.

He ducked his head against her hair. "I am sorry I've kept you waiting again, ma'm." His lips quirked.

Alice's smile could have lit up the sky as she reached up to brush the back of her hand against Jasper's cold cheek. They had never needed any fireworks - what they had ran so much deeper than any of that, and she didn't need to say how much she missed him or loved him when she knew he could see it in her eyes.

"I forgive you."

Then she leaned up and gently kissed him.

He tips her chin with his fingers ever so lightly and kisses her back. He doesn't even have to project the relief he feels that she remembers this part of them.

Reluctantly, after a few moments, he pulls back trailing his fingers up the side of her cheek and across her hair.

"I believe we have to sort a few things out."
