Arthur is simply out walking the streets familiarizing himself with the layout of this different, and yet not so different Chicago. The information he'd received so far had only begun helping him wrap his mind around the situation, but he had another meeting planned.
Ah, so there were people in this city. Granny had started to wonder about that. Most cities she knew of* had far more people than this one seemed to have. She did, however, take some comfort in the fact that the man at least seemed to know how to dress himself. You never could tell what to expect in this foreign places.
"You," she barked out, as if this was a perfectly normal way of getting people's attention. "What city is this?"
Her tone of voice was one that said that she was very much used to having people answer, and if she look in her tall black hat and matching black dress - to say nothing of the white cat reclining across her shoulders - then that wasn't really her problem.
Arthur paused in his stride and raised an eyebrow at Granny Weatherwax. He debated simply continuing on his way, but having appeared there only a short while ago himself he knew how disorienting it could be.
It was perhaps for the best that he hadn't simply continued on his way. Granny didn't take at all kindly to being snubbed, and given her druthers she would have had him back before he'd even realized what had happened. Fortunately, this fate was avoided by the modicum of politeness he'd offered.
