It wasn't fair. Not that Aqua had been expecting it to be fair, really. She'd never been one to ask for fairness out of the world. But really, she'd only just met Sora again. There was so much she'd wanted to ask him, and now he was gone. It wasn't right

So once again she'd turned to her glider and hit the streets. If he was out there, she'd find him. She had to.

Riku caught sight of a slim form racing through the streets of Chicago on some sort of glider - that girl who offered to help look for Sora maybe? He didn't know who she was but he appreciated her help...and couldn't shake the strange feeling of familiarity about her.

At the sight of Riku, Aqua dropped the glider down to a height that wasn't awkwardly inconvenient as far as conversation was concerned. The search wasn't so pressing that she couldn't at least manage that much.

"It's... Riku, right?"

Riku looked up as the glider came closer and the woman called out his name. He hesitated for just one moment as that nagging feeling of deja vu brushed against the back of his mind before nodding. "Yeah. Thanks for your help again."

Kairi on the other hand was worrying, and quite openly too. With all that had happened in the last few time looping weeks, Sora conveniently vanishing without a word definitely called for some concern.

She had barely even seen Riku's last message before she was hurrying her way to him, not wanting to waste another minute.

Riku caught sight of Kairi's telltale red hair immediately and waved at her before hurrying over to meet her. The scars from his run-in with the Skinwalker were still fading but they were still visible - cure magic could only fix so much.

He still looked unnaturally worried - and Riku never worried. "Kairi...you don't think maybe it's another mission, do you?"

Spotting him as well, Kairi lengthened her stride to him though nearly tripping over her shoes when she was close enough to see the scarring. She knew of the thing that had attacked during the loop, especially through paying close attention to the devices. But this...

She gently brushed a hand against one of more visible scars, the pain in her eyes saying more than she would ever out loud. Letting out a small shaky breath, she shook her head. "I don't think so. There's usually some sort of message first."

Kairi however, didn't put it past Sora to run straight for whatever was out there and not tell anyone.

If it had been anyone else, Riku would have shied away from the touch. He just barely hid a wince though, still frustrated at being so thoroughly beaten by the mysterious demon. Still, he bowed his head just slightly and let out a sigh, closing his eyes to hide the shame he briefly felt. He didn't have to say any words - Kairi most likely already knew how grateful he was for her presence.

Collecting himself, he nodded at her conclusion. "You're right. Maybe..." Maybe he went back home...

That thought hurt more than anything - the possibility that Sora had not only returned back to the Islands, but had done so without his two best friends in tow.
