Yazoo merely blinked at the sudden change in scenery, green eyes glowing faintly in the darkness as he surveyed the clearing from where he stood. It reminded him of the city and the white forest back on his own planet, it gave him the same odd feeling inside. Like he might not be particularly welcome here; that this place was far more important to something greater. It was like any other forest though. No glowing white trees that would shatter like stone, no eerie silence or shell shaped buildings nestled in the clearing ahead.

He turned to look at the woman who'd spoken, blinking once before speaking. "So it would seem."

He was no stranger to searching for things that he didn't know the appearance of, after all none of them had known what Mother looked like until Kadaj. He had to admit he'd been slightly disappointed at the fluid that had been in the container.

That timing could have been better, Charity thought as hammer connected with red hot sword blade and a quick dodge saved her legs from the downward swing of the mostly completed weapon no longer braced upon an anvil when the hammer struck. She supposed, though, that it could have been worse as well. A heavy hammer and a dull sword were better than no weapons at all ( ... )

"They brought children to Chicago. I think them, whoever they are, bringing kids into these sorts of things isn't that much of a stretch."

Sam had just finished putting his gun back together after cleaning it when he found himself in a new place. Unfortunately, it left him low on ammo again because he hadn't exactly had a chance to bring the second magazine with him. "I have a feeling I'm going to be glad I put the knife on first," he said, shifting the gun to the small of his back and looking around.

"Only three people ever found the Grail," he said aloud. "If you believe Mallory, at least. Some of the other stories say only one or two." Shaking his head, he looked at the group. "Since I can't say I know anybody here, names would probably be good. Just so we aren't shouting 'hey you' if there's trouble." Non-specific naming could be dangerous, too, after all. "I'm Sam."
