Neal shifted restlessly, in the throes of a nightmare of his own - he hadn't woken up ever since their arrival in the church.
Jamie was curled up one of the pews, knees to his chest. He didn't look tired, but every so often, his chin would slowly lower down onto his chest.

"Vin, we're only going to get into trouble out there. Harry would want us to stay inside the church. Please, just go watch the back door for anything that might want to hurt us. The doctor and Karrin are coming too, they might try to come in the back way."
Of course, she had no idea if the church had a back way in, but it seemed odd that it would not. She sighed softly and squeezed Vin's arm again. "Please Vin?"
Slipping away from the door, letting the younger woman make her choice, Jennifer went back to Neal, where he was still unconscious. She had her own choice to make, and did it in a moment after looking at his tormented face. She kneeled down next to him and began searching his pockets for the denarii.

Besides, a back way meant a way out. Even if she knew finding it was just an excuse for her to get out of danger. She stood next to the door for a long moment, listening to the exchange from outside.
"I'll be back." She said as she passed Jenn running for the back of the church. It only took seconds of searching to find a back exit and she headed straight for it, daggers in her hands in a flash as she shoved it open with her shoulder preparing for whatever she ran into outside.

Neal reached out and snatched Jennifer's wrist just as she began searching through his pockets for the denarii, firm enough to cause pain. He slowly opened his eyes, staring at the ceiling with something akin to disinterest, eyes not focused on the faraway arches. He didn't relax the hold he had on her though, and after a moment, his gaze focused on Jennifer.
"....damn it, Jenn..."
Fear. Confusion. Sorrow. All of those emotions swept across his handsome features, but where abruptly and suddenly overwritten by two even more powerful ones: pain...and a burning hatred.

He wasted no time to make his way to the rear of the church and locating the back door. If there were any enemies in the rear, they certainly wouldn't be too much trouble. Even the blonde woman he had met before seemed capable to defend herself.
So far that didn't need to be explored, until the rear door opened. Almost as quickly as a the sound of sword being drawn, the blade of Yawgmoth's falcata pressed against the unknown person's neck.
"I think it would be best to stay right where you are and quietly" He whispered to Vin, pressing the blade into her skin a little more as if to make his point.

As soon as the door opened Karrin had a gun up as well but the other man was faster and had a sword on what she could now see was a woman. Karrin peered into the darkness and realized the face looked familiar. She lowered her gun, but only slightly, "Wait...I recognize her. She helps Jennifer and I with patrols...Vin, right?"

Jennifer winced as he grabbed her wrist painfully and did not let go, extracting her hand from his pocket. She looked down at him, taking a shuddering breath as his face washed through emotions like an engenue on a movie screen. It was the hatred that frightened her though, the hand still squeezing her wrist. She tried to reach down with her free hand to pull his fingers away.
"You have to get rid of the coins. They're making you ill. Let me take them, I'll get them out of here, away from the man outside." She tried gently, wincing again. Her wrist was bruising in his grip.

Only to stop at the second voice, eyes shifting over to the other person and widening slightly in surprise.
"Karrin?" She said, some of the tension leaving her. She didn't move yet, what with the sword still at her throat. "Jennifer's still inside with Neal and something's wrong with him. He said something about some coins he stole from Nick."

"Insignificant, useless bitch. Let us go."
Neal sat up suddenly, pushing Jennifer away with more strength than should have been normal for someone who had been unconscious for the past few hours. He staggered to his feet, snapping his attention towards the front door. He seemed to waver for a few moments he's here don't you see him one of them one of THEM before grabbing the back of one of the pews for support, hand flying to his head as if to combat a headache.
Jamie shot to his feet the moment Jennifer had been pushed away, grabbing her before she fell to floor. He wasn't shivering anymore, but his eyes were wide with slowly descending panic as Neal got to his feet. "I thought a fallen angel couldn't come into a church!"

"Was the full name Nicodemus," Karrin asked, needing to be sure and speaking in a cautious voice. She looked over to the doctor, "And the coins are bad news. They house fallen angels. Nows not the time for long back stories though, let's get inside."
Reply
"This isn't you Neal, it's the coin. You wouldn't hurt innocent people. Now drop the coins."
It might have been stupid, it might have been extremely dangerous, but she took a step towards Neal, then another. "You tore my side open again. After you worked so hard not to let me bleed out. Neal, you can fight him. Don't let it control you with false promises."

Her gaze shot back to Karrin after she explained what the coins were and she felt her blood run cold. Jennifer knew, she realized. She knew what the coins were and had sent Vin away. Now she was alone, alone with five creatures like Nicodemus.
She was already moving before she spoke, ducking past Yawgmoth and racing back to where she'd left them.
"This way!" She called back, adrenaline and fear restoring her energy for the moment.

Her smile, her laugh. How many mornings had they missed? How many more were lost now that she was
yes, gone gone let us OUT we can bring her back HE'S THERE HE SEES us...
He staggered away from Jennifer and Jamie, fury glowing in his eyes as if inflamed by a fever. "You don't know what you're saying. Running around, worthless. All of you. She'll end all of you, one by one." He laughed, a bitter sound with an edge to it that was not quite sane. "All in a row, starting with you. Break in two."
And he hadn't heard her voice in so long. He had promised her the world...
we will just have to
Kill them all.

That still didn't answer his own thoughts, especially when he didn't feel the mind of any such fallen angels. Before he left the rest of his body, the greater whole of himself was working to influence Radiant, but she was far from doing anything drastic as to take hostages or make herself vulnerable by somehow putting her spirit in a coin. No, there must've been some other context that had to come from the name fallen angel.
"Seeing as how angels are usually physical beings in my world, I think image of them must be wrong." He commented, eyebrows furrowed as he followed Vin.
