Kitchen: Cooking and prep! charityandfaith June 22 2010, 03:09:59 UTC
Since she didn't know anyone's preferences yet, Charity had a large variety that included enough major dietary staples anyone should be happy. She began to chop vegetables with the ease and speed of long practice.

Without the farm's continuous needs, Ebenezar found himself at a bit of a loss. He spent some time walking the perimeter of the Blackstone, ensuring that the wards he'd set were still strong despite the lack of a threshold, but after that, there was little for him to do besides watch the idiot television, so he headed over to Charity's suite early.

He rapped on the door twice with his staff.

Charity left off what she was doing and went to answer the door. She smiled at Ebenezar, telling him, "Nothing's ready, but you're welcome to come in." She probably shouldn't have answered the door kitchen knife in hand, but at least she assumed that this arrival wouldn't take it as a threat.

"I was just chopping vegetables to add to stew once it's ready for them."

"Thank you." Ebenezar gave Charity a brisk, approving nod at her welcome, the subtle invitation to cross a non-existent threshold. The thought counted, for him. "Ain't much work to do here in the city, thought I'd come in and help rather than seeing what foolishness is on that idiot box," he explained, gesturing to the television. "Not much of a box anymore, I suppose."

He followed Charity back to the kitchen, and gestured at the small mountain of vegetables. "I might be old, but I still remember which end of the knife goes into a potato."

Eating! charityandfaith June 22 2010, 03:11:39 UTC
A pot of beef stew, a chicken, a serving bowl of corn and one of green beans with almonds, a dish of mashed potatoes, and a large bowl of salad, are all available for the taking. All of them look and smell delicious.

There will be apple pies to follow it up, courtesy of Winry, plus any food others decide to bring.

Fletcher had dragged Russel along, and showed up in time for dinner. As weird as this place was, they did think it best to get to know the other people who had been dragged here. So, they went.

Spin really was uncertain about how exactly to handle this whole... being around people... thing. Vague answers to questions and a guarded expression could only get you so far when you had to spend a lot of time with them--and shutting himself off from the people who he was here with certainly wasn't going to help anything out. It would be an awkward process, to say the least.

For the most part, Spin had been trying to keep with his coworkers, but when the smell of food started drifting through the building, it was hard to resist creeping out to explore the servings. It was a simple fare, but it all looked pretty impressive. The agent gave a small whistle of approval.

Charity heard the low whistle, and gave him a slight smile as she said, "I'll take that as a compliment. I always hope it tastes even better than it looks though."

The large headphones and their gold-star ornamentation seemed somewhat at odds with the suit he wore, and Charity wondered exactly what the man did for a living. "Feel free to help yourself."
