Sundown, already? Ziva thought, walking the well known path back to the hotel she was staying in. She knew she shouldn't be out and about after the sun went down, having experience with what came out after the sun went down.

She shouldered the pack she had 'borrowed' from a store, it looking fairly similar to the one she used back in DC. She had been out shopping that day, trying to find weapons and stocking up on ammunition. She knew weapons were a necessity now.

Hearing the sound of heels, she slowed her pace, taking a second to locate where the sound was coming from....Ahead of her, she figured, taking the next corner and seeing a woman walking down the street. The question now was: Friend or Foe?

Maureen was idly playing with her engagement ring, on the necklace around her neck. Thank God Joanne hadn't been pulled into this place either, whatever it was... She could only imagine the incessant nagging that would have resulted.

With a sigh, Maureen tucked the ring back under her top. She was pretty sure she heard something behind her... Or someone. She idly smoothed out the back of her leather pants. She would turn around and say something if whoever it was didn't say anything first...

From what she could observe, the woman seemed normal, but that was something that didn't happen all the time in this city. Ziva started walking again, now towards the woman, as they were on the same path. Maybe she was heading to one of the hotels people had commandeered.

"Good evening." She said when she got closer, keeping one hand at her side, close to a weapon, if it was needed.

At the sound of a voice (and a cute one at that), Maureen turned and glanced over her shoulder. She flashed the woman a bright grin and turned to walk backwards a little. Very cute indeed.

"Well, hello there," she replied with a bright grin, hooking her thumbs in her pants' pockets.
