Karrin had procured a motorcycle by her own means. It wasn't illegal or stolen, she had kindly asked for it and implied that she was still a police officer. The guy had seemed to buy it and Karrin had promised to return it. Okay, so she had fibbed a little but how else was she supposed to get to the damn docks.

She really hoped her car was still there. Though she had a sinking feeling it might not be.

She killed the bike when she pulled up to the Hummer. Karrin stepped off, shaking her hair loose after pulling off the helmet. She set the helmet on the bike's seat and made her way over to Thomas. "Is Molly coming?"

Thomas had been staring at the Hummer when Murphy roared up on a motorcycle he didn't recognize. He'd sold it for scraps after Harry dropped a fallen angel (and a house) on it, but somehow it had still been sitting in his old apartment when he'd come up. He'd taken it anyway, being hard pressed for transportation options, but it didn't sit right. Why was it still here, and looking like it was almost new?

"She'll probably be late. Dodging Ma Carpenter on a bum leg," he answered, studiously avoiding meeting Murphy's eye. How close he'd come yesterday, under the stupid Bean, was still fresh in his mind, and Thomas had absolutely no desire to see any hint of it on Murphy's face.

He jerked his head towards the bike. "Nice bike. Get a new one?"

Karrin winced, not only was getting away from Charity going to be hard, but she had a feeling she would be facing the woman's wrath too if she found out where Molly was going. She also felt bad because Molly was probably in no better shape than Harry. Karrin almost wanted to suggest they call Molly and tell her to forget it, but she had a feeling that A) it wouldn't work and B) Molly might be able to pick up somethings via magic that she and Thomas couldn't see.

"Borrowed. I'll return it when we're done here," she remarked, glancing around. Her brows furrowed, "Looks like my car's not here. That can't be a good sign. I was parked right there before all this started." Karrin pointed at the empty spot.

Having bandaged Molly up in the middle of the battle, Thomas knew just how bad the young woman's wounds had been, but he also knew Harry trusted Molly to see more subtle traces of magic than Harry was capable of. And if Molly's insight got him closer to finding his brother's killer, Thomas would let Charity hit him over the head with a warhammer.

"Borrowed," Thomas echoed with a smirk. His gaze followed Murphy's gesture and he frowned at the empty parking spot. "Something isn't right here," he muttered to Murphy. "You left your car here, and it's not here. I sold the Hummer for scraps a couple years ago and..." He jerked his thumb at the giant white monster truck behind him. "Doesn't that seem strange to you?"
