As he reached the view of the water, he saw the pirate ship under attack by a giant turtle. Something shot out of the water and onto the ship's deck. Derek saw the wave hit Genbu. A faint familiar beat laid nestled in Genbu's tune. Derek had run across it before; he was a friend from the other Chicago.
That was all he needed to know. Derek ran down the docks. Then he hopped into the nearest speedboat and started lifting the cushions to the seat. Driver, nothing. Passenger, two pennies and a nickle. In the stowaway compartment in the back was a large foam keychain that caused a clatter when Derek picked it up.
The boat's engine roared to life with a turn of the key. He soon sped toward the pirate ship, boat bouncing on the top of the waves and leaving a wake behind him.

The wave did the trick, mostly. Genbu roared as he was forced backwards from the wave and the pirate ship drifted backwards. Aqualad heard one of the pirates shout something about loading the canons. Well, at least they were on his side for the moment.
Aqualad ran to the ship's stern, pulling the water to his weapons and forming two long whips of hard water constructs. It was not safe for these pirates but it wasn't like they weren't doing enough to attract attention to themselves. There was the sound of cannons being fired and Aqualad glanced up at the giant turtle to see how much this would affect him. It didn't help much and only seemed to anger him more.
"I suppose I was hoping for too much," Aqualad muttered. This was much bigger than the unicorn he had tamed in the woods. That didn't stop Aqualad from swinging the water whip back and then slashing it at the turtle, "HAH!"

What they were going to do when they got to the turtle was anyone's guess as Riku knew that someone was going to have to steer clear of the striking serpent that wound itself around the giant shell.
A glint sparked in his eyes as he half-turned back to Sora.
"This has got to be one of your dumbest ideas."
