The underlying idea that Roy is one of those unfortunate people who are damned to love only once and never again is what makes the stories work so well. Throughout the arc, you've done an amazingly good job of capturing emotions and delving into thoughts and motivations. If you do one more story, I'd like to find out what Maes thinks of Roy's final action. Two words come to mind: "You idiot."
