Despite the fact that the staff is a little rough around the edges here, I'm enjoying my new hospital. I'm not sure where Charlotte sees whatever fault it is that she's trying so desperately to point out, but I'm not in a position of authority to call her out on it. It's none of my business

"The cafeteria?" I glance at the clock and my eyes widen. "Oh my God, how did it get so late?"

"I'm not sure if you're aware but there's a device called a clock and it never stops."

"It doesn't do much good if you're not looking at it."

I stand up and grab my phone, quickly text messaging Mattias so he knows I won't be home for a while.

"You realize it will be extremely slim pickings down there."

"I'm familiar with the conditions. It just so happens that the main cook downstairs likes me."
