Falling Awake

I head over to Joe's after my shift, more than ready for my glass of wine. I kinda wish Sea could join me but he was still hiking over babies when I left around 6. Don't think he'll be done anytime soon and the last thing I want is to hover. What we have is still in the light and fun, and my head is telling me to keep it there as long as possible.

"Dr. Stevens, hey," I reply looking up at her. "Can I get you a drink?"

"I'm good," I smile, Joe placing my glass down on cue. "This seat taken?" I motion beside him.

I smile back at her, "Nope, I'm here all on my own tonight," I reply.

"Me too," I nod, slipping in beside him. "Cheers to loners." I raise my glass.
