Ok, I'm finally ready.

Cancer/breast cancer resources. I need them. I have looked up some stuff online, but since I haven't lived here that long, and due to the recent bad news, I'm kind of lost.
I would appreciate any and all helpfulness.
Also, does any one have any form of state coverage? Something for low- or no-income persons (with cancer)?
Thanks in advance.

"you recently told a friend of mine that you were glad that her mother had breast cancer. FUCK YOU, YOU HEARTLESS BITCH. you also listed on your blog that you enjoy taking 'late night walks'...you do realize that bad things can happen to stupid girls who go out for late night walks, right?!....bad things happen to bad people. what comes around goes around. GOOD LUCK. and thank you."

I just got this as a FB message. You gotta be joking me. LOL

All I can say is SCCA has been pretty great over the last six months for us, though for a different kind of cancer. My only gripe has been the coordinator/scheduler person, but everything else has been super streamlined. And you can always get someone on the phone (except the fucking scheduler ;-)).

All best to you!

I second SCCA. My co-worker went through them and got some very excellent aid.

Look at the bottom of this page for SCCA's charity care information. I don't know what the qualifications are to receive charity care but you can always call the number and see if you'll qualify.

Also try the Cancer Information Hotline. They are awesome.
http://www.cancer.gov/aboutnci/cis The one for the West Coast or PNW (not sure) is located at the Hutch. Extremly knowledgable folks and an excellent resource.

A close friend of mine is battling breast cancer. These folks have been awesome to her. http://www.youngsurvival.org/seattle

It's mostly a breast cancer support group but I'd imagine they'd be able to point you in the right direction for low income assistance.

I consider this a huge help. We're probably gonna need some support here in the coming months.

Seriously, they've been a really great to my friend. They have a support group for partners as well.

Also, lotsahelpinghands.com for extra help during chemo (my friend had people bring her healthy meals on the nights her husband worked late),. My friend allowed friends to sign up for "chemo pal" as well, she liked having a friend accompany her to chemo.
Caringbridge.org is good for your family out of town, you'll find you don't like repeating how good (or bad) you're doing a billion times to second cousins in Iowa.

Wow, this is stuff I haven't found on the Internet and didn't even know to look for. This is great stuff. I was wondering about chemo pals. : ) Thanks!
