I don't have too many good ones... but I think this and my "bearsnatch" icons are my favorites.

Judy at Judy's Alterations in Fremont did mine, and it was wonderfully done. She's very talented. Her place is above the lingerie place on 34th.

christopher575 linked one of the several posts on this subject in the seattle comm; Google has it indexed.

I'm going with Darcy Martin; so far, her prices are reasonable, and she's been an absolute doll to work with.

Seconded. She does great work, and sometimes quickly -- she did my reception dress in three days, but it just needed to be taken in a bit.

I always try to comment, though, that if you do use her, don't be put off by the appearance of her house (which is where she runs her business out of). Once you step inside, it's the nicest little boutique! But I feel it's worth mentioning, because it's not a fancy storefront in downtown bellevue or something.

iawtc, but she could use better lighting in there. Any pictures taken of me in my dress for my maid of honor in Boise didn't turn out right and it was hard for her to see what it looked like

She is a nice lady, but she was super scatterbrained IMHO. If she could improve on keeping track of the dresses (and my wedding was in September, so not completely in the height of teh dress rush) then I would have been 100% satisfied. My heart sank a couple of times when she couldn't find my dress. And also, if you want a swatch of your dress material to match it up with other things, make sure it really is your dress material. I had a pure silk ivory Vera Wang and she gave me material that was from a cheap white dress. I think she used my scraps for her garter bands that she turns around and sells...

There's a tiny shop in the pikes market, in the center building just below Matt's and next to the crumpet shop.

She did my wedding dress (on recommendation from a couple of LJ'ers). it looked good and it was affordable.
