VISITING SEATTLE

May 10, 2006 12:01

Hi, everyone!

I am going to be in Seattle next week for a day, for a job interview, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where I should visit during the evening. I'm thinking along the lines of cool shopping areas and night life for the GLBT community. Any help would be appreciated!

Hmmmm... you're not the only person who suggested Capitol Hill. I'll Google it.

Capitol Hill. If you have time off during the day and want to meet people around lunchtime/early afternoon, go to the outdoor Vivace by the Washington Mutual just north of Broadway/Thomas, get yourself some of Seattle's most amazing coffee, and have a seat at the friendly table.

You really ought to move out to the west coast quickly, both for your enjoyment and for your safety. I know Tulsa has some fantastic churches, but really.

Fair warning: if you're from the heartland and haven't ever lived in sea/nyc/sf/chi/etc, you may find it difficult to park for free on Capitol Hill. Don't let it stress you out, because you'll want to be walking anyway.

*wink* No worries, baby. I used to live in DFW, and I am used to getting my cardio on the walk to the clubs. haha

Tulsa Churches? ha ha ha joshuatree99 May 11 2006, 02:55:48 UTC
Yes, there are some famous bible-thumpers from around here... haha. I, personally, haven't voluntarily seen the inside of a church since God, himself, was a boy. I would love to move out to the coast... why don't you convince that company I'm interviewing with to hire me!
