Ok, maybe I shouldn't feel so bad about my family being too far away to do this to me. My dad's 12 hours away in Oregon, my mom is in another plane of existence, and my sister's in TX, so there will be no poorly planned shenanigans for me.

Just love them for who they are, I guess, and get 'em out of your house as soon as you can? :-) I hope the cake is good.

I like them once I see them, but I just like to know what's going on. Sigh.

It was fine. My niece was adorable. She pulled the candles out of the cake, licked the frosting, and put them back.
