TBH if he hadn't reacted that anxiously, I would have bet Spike had counted on that development :-)

That was an interesting alternative take on OMWF. Nice to see how a bit of honest communication can make such a difference!

Super NICE - love how you changed their first kiss and their communication. Could sure use some more with this "let's change OMWF scenes would make an interesting story or series of small scenes.

That. Was. BEAUTIFUL!!!!! There are many moments where I love your writing here - at times, it's almost like prose -, but two of my favorites, and two I can most relate to, is how he's trying to touch as much of her as he can while she allows it and when she, the big, badass Slayer, the toughest woman of her kind and one of the strongest throughout her world's history, mentions how safe she feels. Having had to be a strong one my entire life, I can completely relate to the secret need we don't even always realize we have until we meet The One and his (or her) body wrapping around hers makes us realize we've been secretly craving for someone to make us feel safe the entire time. <3 <3 <3

They were so cute in this; but, I still see inevitable pitfalls coming. Hopefully, the extra communication will start a good enough habit that he'll actually believe her when she says she loves him, and he'll get someone to dial the phone for him when he comes outa the amulet, instead of believing "Angel"'s gaslighting M.O.
