Interesting twist! I appreciate Spike getting Willow and Tara to chip in, well done. Though didn’t Tara’s mom die? Or am I conflating canon and fanom? I’m c. 80% sure she died, but not positive.

I like the details in this story. You make Sunnydale a very lived-in town. Very nice!

Bugger, you're right. I'd completely forgotten that scene in The Body. I think she's just acquired a kindly maternal aunt, then. (I like the idea that the older generation of women in the family would quietly undermine the arrogant patriarch!).

He's not wrong. Actually, it's nice that they're doing it this way instead of him really phoning her or anything. I love that he did all that stuff to help solve the problem first, and *then* they're having a little fun with it.

I did a search for euphemisms for phone sex workers. OK, not quite hookers, but I doubt if Spike perceived a difference!
